The State Department designated an Italian tech collective, A/I Collective, as a global terrorist organization, saying its tools were used by Portland's Rose City Antifa and other far-left groups. Officials say the tools helped publish ICE agents' personal information and calls for confrontations at their homes, plus a 2025 laser-pointing incident at a Customs and Border Patrol helicopter, which was not related to Antifa. Rose City Antifa's own site reportedly doesn't use A/I services, and officials stopped short of calling the group a foreign terrorist organization. KOIN

The Rose City Rockets, a Portland dragon boat team of cancer patients and survivors, head to Taiwan this week for the sport's world championships. Coach Lori Godfrey took up paddling sixteen years ago during breast cancer treatment and now leads about twenty paddlers, some in active chemo, training on the Willamette. The team qualified by medaling at nationals in Sarasota and races in the all-cancer division. Paddlers say the sport gives them something to hold onto, and real camaraderie. OPB

A new political group, Go Portland Go, brands itself a scrappy grassroots coalition pushing progressive governance ahead of next year's council races. But records show it's largely funded by Portland's usual moneyed players: $32,000 from nonprofit Partnership for Progress, $25,000 from Columbia Sportswear CEO Tim Boyle, a longtime conservative donor. Dozens of restaurants signed on as members, including Le Pigeon and Kachka, though one group withdrew after learning more about the backers. Portland Mercury
