Thursday chance of rain, high of 58. Let me start with a correction: the other day I confidently told you three times about the great food and beer at Gigantic when I meant to say Grand Fir Brewing instead. What did they put in those drinks?😂 In the news today we have some city/county election results, a guilty plea on a massive theft, and a potential upside of school closures.

That old boat or trailer sitting on your property? It’s not going anywhere on its own—and most junk services won’t touch it.
That’s where Jr Junk Services stands out. Family-owned in Portland, this is the team people call for the jobs others avoid—especially boat and trailer removal. I used Jr’s Junk Services recently, and Jose was great to work with. He showed up on time and made everything so easy for me. If you need something big gone without the stress, this is the move.

City Memo Looks at Housing on Closing School Sites
A new city memo says many of the 14 Portland Public Schools sites on the closure list could work for housing. Eight sites could support buildings up to seven stories, including Beach, Irvington and Sellwood Middle School. Buckman, Creston and James John could support seven to 10 stories. Stephenson, Maplewood and Peninsula would be harder to redevelop. The school board has the final say and votes in mid-December. Oregonian
I’ve been having a hard time publishing 5 days per week, and considering doing only 2 or 3 per week. Each one would have an events list to cover the next few days. I might even start adding previews for the weekend events so you can plan earlier.
Would you still read the Drizzle if it only came out 2 or 3 days weekly?
📚 ON THIS DAY
