Voting Registration Closes Tuesday

Tuesday, Oct. 13, is the last day to register to vote in Oregon's Nov. 3 general election. You can sign up online at oregonvotes.gov or in person at your county elections office. The CBD Brand that Actually Does What It Says

CBD is having a moment and CBD brands are everywhere right now. But with so many options, it can be tough to know what to look for – and which brands actually follow through on their claims.

That’s where CBDistillery sets itself apart. For the past decade, all of CBDistillery's products have been made with non-GMO, US-grown industrial hemp and with 100% clean ingredients – no corn syrup or artificial colors, flavors, preservatives or sweeteners.

They frequently introduce new and innovative products formulated to meet a variety of wellness needs and customer preferences. And every single batch of CBDistillery’s gummies, oil tinctures, topicals and softgels are tested by an independent, accredited lab to make sure what’s in the package matches what’s on the label.

Right now, CBDistillery is offering our readers a special deal: save 50% on orders of $75 or more with code NEWS50!

Portland Fire & Rescue Staffer Is Reigning Jeopardy! Champion

Greg Monson, who works in the TV services department at Portland Fire & Rescue, is the reigning Jeopardy! champion. He won his second game on Oct. 9 with $22,600 after climbing from second place going into Double Jeopardy, bringing his two-day total to $31,300. Monson is out of the country and hasn't seen the episodes, a department spokesman says, but his colleagues at the fire houses have been watching nightly. His third appearance airs Monday. Irvington Mansion Becomes Crow Manor Haunted House

A historic Irvington mansion is now a haunted house with a different feel. Crow Manor opened Friday at 2116 Northeast 18th Avenue, with a Victorian-era mystery, theatrical performances and a crow-themed story told across multiple rooms of the 10,000-square-foot home. Organizer John McCulloch says it's mysterious rather than jump scares. McCulloch bought the mansion last month after learning its future was uncertain, and proceeds benefit Doernbecher Children's Hospital. KGW

REAL ESTATE SPOTLIGHT

photo from Zillow

942 S Palatine Hill Rd is kinda just barely outside Portland, but you’ll see why it as too good to skip. Every photo of this house looks like a work of art. Built in 1922, it features dramatic ceilings in every room, a stone fireplace, big bright picture windows, and a shower that I could actually live inside of. The outdoor pavillion is a place you could really put your feet up. This home is listed by Allison Williams Real Estate
